Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of the Local VidGen desktop application, website, and supported integrations (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, a user agrees to these Terms.
1. The Service
Local VidGen provides desktop tools for preparing, reviewing, and submitting user-selected short-form content through supported integrations. Features may change over time and may depend on third-party platform availability, authorization, permissions, and approval.
2. Authorized accounts
A user may connect and use only accounts that the user owns or is authorized to manage. The user is responsible for maintaining the security of account credentials and for promptly revoking access if a connection is no longer authorized.
3. User content and publishing responsibility
Users retain responsibility for the videos, captions, metadata, and other material they select for processing or publication. Users must have the rights and permissions necessary to use and publish that material. Local VidGen does not grant rights to third-party content.
4. Third-party platforms
Use of a connected platform is also governed by that platform's own terms, policies, technical limits, and developer requirements. Local VidGen is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or other connected social platforms.
5. Acceptable use
Users must not use the Service to:
- access or publish to an account without authorization;
- violate applicable law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or platform policies;
- misrepresent the source, ownership, or authorization of content;
- circumvent platform security, rate limits, review requirements, or access restrictions; or
- interfere with the security or operation of the Service or connected services.
6. Availability and changes
The Service may be changed, suspended, limited, or discontinued. Third-party integrations may become unavailable or require additional review, authorization, or configuration outside Local VidGen's control.
7. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or continued access to any third-party API.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Local VidGen and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service, third-party platform actions, account restrictions, lost publication opportunities, or loss of data.
9. Termination
Access to the Service or an integration may be suspended or terminated when necessary for security, legal compliance, platform compliance, or material violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the Service, applicable law, or third-party integrations. The effective date above will be updated when revised Terms are published.

These Terms are a practical operating baseline, not individualized legal advice. They should be reviewed again before broad public distribution or a material change in the product's user model.
